On record, the music is based around the talents of MC Longusto and DJ Weaver, long time partners and stalwarts of rap and electronica in the UK’s underground scenes.

The Weaver is a drum n bass producer of ten years experience and a man with an unquestionable ear for excellence in electronic music. Credited with releases on Flex, Rinse Out and Hardleaders, he has several classic tracks to his name including Freaks 2000 and Satellites. He has co-run the Lab Logic record label with brother Stomp for several years, output from which has been aired on Radio One’s In The Jungle and Jon Peel and spun by every drum n bass stalwart worth naming.?This love of chunky beats and live or ambient based hooks gives the Swampfoot output an unmistakable flavour which transcends the usually staid and overused standards of both UK and US rap music.



Longusto is one of the best and brightest MC’s in Britain. Combining individualistic delivery and introspective or party style lyrics, his rhymes are an instant winner with hip hop heads and more conventionally minded listeners alike, and have earned him accolades from some of the most respected names in the UK’s rapbusiness.



The final piece in the puzzle was securing the services of local musician James (Mani) Mann, who helped fuse some of his rock/funk elements into the Swampfoot sound.?With this backbone in place, the self released ‘Education’ EP has been receiving critical acclaim on the underground press circuit for the last year, with reviews and props from a variety of sources including fanzines and legendary artists.
