ROOTS

Louis Griffiths a.k.a Studio Flip Mode , native to Chile, raised in Alby, 'Norra B' in Stockholm, Sweden. His musical interest began when listening to the records his mother was spinning when he was around eight years old. At that time he didnt know how much it would affect his future.



EARLY YEARS

In his early teens, he started to listen to rap music, acid house and started painting graffiti, doing walls and wholecars. He began travelling around Europe doing pieces and making a name for himself on the graffiti scene. His journey in the art of graffiti is connected to his musical journey as he picked up influences when travelling and meeting people from different corners of the world.



Around '94 he began going to underground techno parties and thats where he found the inspiration to start making music himself. But it took a couple of years watching other people work in the studio and hanging in that crowd before he started buying equipment himself. The he quickly started learned to sample, compose and arrange his first beats, trying to master Cubase.



PRODUCTIONS

One cant really place Studio Flip Modes music in one genre, but a constant mix of many. Whether its house, electro, techno or minimal he likes to flip the music and experiment with various sound. And for the moment it's only releases on his own label Deep Pump Production
