REVIEWS

Modern disthistoria (The Hives) möter historisk (The Damned).

– Metro Magazine

"Here the strongest, absolutely the most complete, Swedish indierock-album in a very long time suddenly appears. Respect! There is not a single weak track on The pleasure. Seriously. I have listened, counted and measured, believe me. I am quite surprised myself. Finnally we end up in a place where Shout out Louds would love to be, and the Hives already have been for a while. Swedish guitar-rock that kicks confidently forward in the fast lane and caresses you gently when it slows down. () I beleive that Streetwaves will soon be heading in new directions, and I want to join them."

– Sonic Magazine

"Pick any young English lad vomiting from anxiety, stinking of hormones and suffering from the sickness of monotony, give this guy some singing lessons, and suddenly you have Jonny of Streetwaves.

Energy and a sound that you seldom experience in Sweden, and this is what makes the band fantastic, true rock'n roll straight into your bones. The album "The Pleasure to end all pleasures" might be the best rock-album produced in this country (Sweden) in the last 10 years! And its absolutely better than its' British competitors."

– Dalademokraten

“These 11 Songs goes into head and legs, like rifle salvos!!! /---/

The manic energy, point-exact riffs and hammering drums, leaves Sheffield competitors standing rather palely in the english rain…”

"Attention! Watch out! (.) Streetwaves presents a considerable achievement with their current album "The Pleasure to end all Pleasures" (.) With music that hides the spirit of today's time in every detail, they should have no trouble making their way alongside the "large" bands, with which they are already compared. Anyhow, the potential and a first-class first work is already here!”

“Hold your thumbs! With "The Pleasure to end all Pleasures” Streetwaves proves that they fit well in the footsteps of great swedish bands!”

– Dosenmusik.de

“…a good album and a proof that there must be healthy things in meatballs!”

– Purerock.de

"This one-track sampler from Streetwaves' forthcoming full-length debut is a real pearl. Rattling drums, yelling vocals and distorted guitars in a 3.27 minutes long energy bomb.

I hear the same nonchalant charm that The Libertines and, at times, Babyshambles have refined. It's gonna be really really exciting to hear the forthcoming album The pleasure to end all pleasures!"
