An award winning performer, sought after writer and producer by some of today's hottest talent, Steven Russell started his career in the late 1980's as one of the lead vocalist in one of the most talented boy bands to date, TROOP. He believes that now near age 40 his life is evolving full circle.
Over the last 20 years working in the music industry he has suffered more than one mans share of heart break and failures. However with pain staking perseverance and the determination of a lion set on his prey, he has struggled through the trenches of life, not at all un-skathed, but truly wiser.
He has written songs for the likes of Mario, B2K, Chris Brown, Ruben Studdard, Tyrese, Omarion, Frankie J, Marques Houston, 702, 3LW, Glenn Lewis, Luke & Q, B5, Troop, LSG, Avant, Monica, KeKe Wyatt, Donnel Jones, Charlie Wilson and ATL just to name a few. He has three smashes on Chris Brown's latest platinum cd, including , "TAKE YOU DOWN", "HELP ME" AND "GET AT CHA" He wrote and produced the Aretha franklin & Fantazia single, "Put you up on game", and also co-wrote the Jordin Sparks single, "NO AIR"!
