Stephen Cox has played electric bass since Spring 2000. He also plays the fretless and upright (double) bass. Along his musical journey, he has had the chance to jam with Tommy Crain (Charlie Daniels/Crosstown Allstars), Barry Richman (guitar virtuoso), John McKnight (local drum legend), Sammy Blue, and many other great local artists. He has also done fill in work with Lefty Williams, Julie Gribble, Dean Dollar, and Nathan Morgan. He currently performs regularly with The Zaib Khan Band, Snake Legs, and The Manabu Trio. Stephen is currently a jazz bass major at Georgia State University, studying under Robert Dickson. He has experience playing Blues, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, and Country among other styles. He also enjoys composing bass solos and acoustic folk/pop songs in his spare time.
