Born in Ottawa , Stephane
forms his first band, M. Deltoid, a Rock band performing unique versions of CCR, AC DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and many others. After four years and more than 150 shows, one original CD and a video that aired on Much Music, the group disbands.
In 1996 he's the recipient of the "tout nouveau tout show " contest ( singer /song writer) and also wins the people choice award.
In 2000 he Launches his first album in French. After a number one Hit for two weeks on the Quebec pop rock charts and number 8 on the top 50, he tours in Ontario and Quebec.
In 2001, he moves to the Laurentians, pursuing his writing activities, he renews with ClassicRock and Blues by bringing together a cover band named -GCR- which gets immediate attention with their unique and enticing performances. With outstanding energy and charisma, McNicoll seduces all crowds: 3 times at Montreal grand Prix Celebrations on Crescent Street, different summer festivals and almost all venues for classic Rock. In 2005 , he launches his first English Album -Contradictions of life- sold and distributed in Canada under Nevada entertainment/Koch label . Along with Pierre Marchand, McNicoll had two videos on Music Plus/Musimax:
A bit of sunshine (top 5) and Walk Away number one at Musimax . He was the opening act for Jeff Martin (Tea Party) in Quebec, for Jeff Healy at The Mont Tremblant Blues festival, performed at the Canadian Music Week,
played live on MusicPlus and had two singles playing on Canadian Radios . After moving to Montreal wile writing his second album, he was chosen to sing as one of the lead performers in the casino show "Flower Power'" gaining even more experience on a big stage. Now getting ready to launch a new project in 2011
