There is no sTaTion 85.0 on the radio. It is sub-FM. UNDERGROUND if you will. Back in the day, we played our first live show at the old Skinny - previously a porno theatre (sticky floors, MENSTRUAL ARTWORK leftover). Back then, TeleVision sTaTion 85 was the scrambled porn channel. It seemed to make sense.
The music, you could call it scrambled if you wanted. DUAL (dueling?) FRONTMEN each bring their own aesthetics and ideas, and we go in all directions. So be prepared for a folk love song, political rock, and feel-good reggae pop. We play what we like. WE WON'T BE PIGEON-HOLED. Keep an open mind and an honest heart.
So sTaTion8T5 has been together since the days of squiggle porn. The Portland bar scene we call home. When we started we weren't even allowed to drink at the bars where we played. NOT that it STOPped us [don't tell!]. This IS Rock 'n Roll, after all. You might have heard rock and roll is dead. Hey hey, my my, it's really just buried alive. Testimony:
