Beginning life as an idea on a summers evening in the north-west Midlands, August Stars became the moniker given to the recording project of Sebastien Wright in 2002. August Stars produces minimalist drones and soundscapes.
Whereas some electronic music can often be rather cold and lacking in emotion, August Stars’ sound is full of nostalgia, sadness and longing. It is highly evocative music. Listening to August Stars is akin to becoming lost in thought. Rather than being merely a background, this is music in which to immerse.
