Stalingrad Cowgirlsien vuonna 2007 julkaistu debyytti saa jatkoa kakkosalbumista ”Kiss Your Heart Goodbye”.

Vuonna 2005 perustettu Stalingrad Cowgirls on punkhenkinen tyttötrio Sallasta, pienestä kaupungista napapiiristä pohjoiseen. Yhtye rymisteli kotimaiselle musiikkikartalle kovan kohun saattelemana debyyttialbumillaan "Somewhere High", joka näki päivänvalon keväällä 2007. Tytöt ovat ehtineet lämmitellä isoja nimiä Iggy & The Stoogesista Museen ja Moskovassa soittaneeseen Möetly Crüeen. Stalingrad Cowgirls on Enni Kivelä (laulu ja kitara), Riina Kivelä (rummut) ja Henna Vaarala (basso).

Save a horse - ride a Cowgirl

When you are born in the northest reaches of Finnish Lapland, above the Arctic Circle in a small town called Salla - you can pretty much kiss goodbye your dreams of being a rockstar.

Well say hello to - Stalingrad Cowgirls. A three piece punk-rock girl group who rock out with more co*k than Billy Idols in his wettest daydreams.

Drummer Riina, bass player Henna and guitarist/singer Enni signed their first record deal with Warner Music Finland back in 2005 - as soon as the girls were legally old enough to sign one. Putting together their debut album, the girls had already created a buzz as a fantastic and energetic live band - playing clubs underage and obviously - illegally.

Not freezing your ass off outside and staying indoors mastering their skills really paid off as the girls' debut album "Somewhere High" saw daylight in 2007. And it wasn't long enough that the girls were sharing the stage with their idols Mötley Crüe in Moscow and Iggy & The Stooges on their latest world tour. So far - and with just the debut album under the bands belt - Stalingrad Cowgirls have sweated-out more than a 100 shows all over Japan, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Holland, Denmark and Russia.

After all the hype created by "Somewhere High" Cowgirls were off to the studio with a wide array of songs, all containing that fresh and punk-rock rebellious Stalingrad Cowgirls flavor and sound. Singer Enni: "We put the first album together in weeks, this time around we wanted the songs to get as good as they could". Getting more mature, getting more studio time and getting out of Lapland once-in-a-while has really paid off as "Kiss Your Heart Goodbye" portraits Stalingrad Cowgirls with enthusiasm and attitude like never before.

The bands followers in China have already heard pieces of the new album played live - and if the reviews or the talk-of-the-town is to be trusted - better yell out "Giddyup!" cause Stalingrad Cowgirls are back and readier than ever.
