Life pulsates with rhythm and movement. In 1994, while living in Dallas, Texas, Edward Scott aka Spettro first made this conceptual connection between music, dance, and life through the sounds of house and techno music. Feeling at peace in a crowd that openly expressed their love for the music, Spettro knew instantly that music was going to be a driving force in his life.
Spettro's early DJ and production careers were launched in San Antonio, TX, where he attended St. Mary's University. In his first years of DJing, Spettro began learning music production techniques. By the time he graduated in 2000, he was producing music full-time.
Spettro's early house productions (released 2002 to 2005, also under monikers Green Thumb, Antoine Diego and Green Bowl Packers) were successfully licensed to compilations by Defected, Renaissance, and OM Records by DJs such as Miguel Migs, DJ Sneak, and Hernan Catteneo, respectively.
Always looking to broaden his musical perspective, Spettro diversifies his live sets by playing both techno and house – "I'm such a techno head these days. I always play to the crowd, but I love taking people on a ride – especially when I play long sets," says Spettro.
The energy Spettro brings to every party he enlivens separates him from many other DJs. Spettro is known as the DJs' DJ; a dance floor leader who takes the room on a journey, from deep to techno, to peak-hour bangers to sweet vocals and classics.
After focusing solely on DJing the last few years, Spettro now lives in Houston with a new found vigor for artistic music creation. His most recent release, "Hunab Ku + Peezy Hot" is out now on the legendary Bush Records and has gained support from John Digweed, Carl Cox and Yousef.
Spettro has been busy with remix work this summer, with remixes for Uniform Recordings, South Records and Locked-In Multi-Media due to be released in the fall of 2011. Spettro is currently remixing Carl Cox's classic 'The Player" with fellow Houstonian, Alex Clavijo.

Like a daffodil on a windy day, Spettro's seed engulfs all within range, heads and non-heads alike. Both a fertilizer and producer of these funky flowers, Spettro's production work has been featured by house music heavyweights like Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Hernan Cattaneo, Johnny Fiasco, Mazi, and nearly every house cultivator in the world.
An ace in the garden, Eddie's better half is behind the decks, tilling and tending to the thirsty receivers of the diverse fruit.
Look for Spettro under the monikor's "Green Thumb" (with Dwavehed) "Antoine Diego" (with Thomas Sahs), and "Ten Gallon Hats" (with Claude 9 and
Chris Specht). Listen online to Spettro's mixes at: www.undergroundhouse.net.
