SPECIO

Cest en 1995 que Karim et Keuj débutent leur carrière sous le nom de PO8MX. Très vite, associés au groupe Dune, ils forment le collectif Symbiose. J-Plus, qui se fera connaitre quelques années plus tard sous le nom de Demon, en est l'architecte musical.

1997 marque la sortie du EP Prophétie, 1ère galette du collectif. Le disque rencontre un grand succès d'estime, notamment grâce au morceau Dans la peau dun flic interprété par PO8MX. Ce titre bénéficie dune forte rotation sur Générations 88.2. Le duo met en avant des flows très techniques, et une écriture imagée, inspirée de leur vécu. Les 2 MCs n'ont de cesse d'allier le fond et la forme.

Symbiose se sépare quelques temps après le projet. Hormis une participation à La Bande Originale, initiée par Ekoué de La Rumeur, Karim et Keuj séloignent du monde du rap. Ils enregistrent des morceaux sans réellement chercher à les sortir. Juste pour eux et leurs proches.

C'est à cette époque quils prennent le nom de SPECIO. Spéciaux, ils le sont tant pour leur parcours atypique que pour l'originalité de leur musique. Demon qui a démarré une carrière prometteuse dans l'electro, continue néanmoins à fournir nos 2 acolytes en productions massives. Désormais Karim oeuvre également à l'habillage musical du groupe.

En 2003, SPECIO est contacté par le label Odessa Music pour la street-tape Equipés Sport. Par la suite, ils posent le prenant J'engraineTon Crâne sur Illicite Projet, où ils cotoient la fine fleur du rap hexagonal. Ils font des apparitions sur divers street-tapes (Chargé à Block, Règlements de comptes.).

En janvier 2006, Sages Comme Ces Images sort en kioske. Le disque s'écoule à plus de 5000 exemplaires sans promo en seulement 2 mois d'exploitation.

La même année SPECIO fait un passage remarqué sur la compilation évènement Illégal Radio, avec Fréquence Bitume en duo avec Ekoué.

2007 marque le retour des 2 franciliens. Des couplets meurtriers sur le dernier opus de La Rumeur (Du Coeur à l'Outrage), ainsi qu'une bombe posée sur le projet Fat Taf 2 (à venir), les placent comme le duo à surveiller.

Specimen Music, leur album concept prochainement dans les bacs, devrait enfoncer le clou. On y retrouvera La Rumeur et Boyco (Classic) sur des productions de Demon, P.A.T Matricks, F.A.S, Nerubi (Rédemption), Sem Records et Specio.

It's in 1995 that Karim and Keuj begin their career under the name of PO8MX. Very quickly, associated the Dune group, they form the Symbiose collective. This title profits from a strong rotation on Générations 88.2. The duet puts forward the very technical flows, and a coloured writing, inspired by their lives. The 2 MC' S do not have of cease to combine the bottom and the form. Symbiose separates a short time after the project. Except a participation in La Bande Original, initiated by Ekoué of La Rumeur, Karim and Keuj move away from the world of the rap. They record tracks without really seeking to release them. Just for themselves and their close relations. It is at that time that they take the name of SPECIO. Special, they are it as well for their atypical course as for the originality of their music. Demon which started a promising career in electronic music, continues nevertheless to provide our 2 fellas in massive productions. From now on Karim also works with the musical preparing of the group. In 2003, SPECIO is contacted by the label Odessa Music for the street-tape Equipés Sport. Thereafter, they pose taking it "Jengraine Ton Crâne" on Illicite Project, where they cotoient the fine flower of the hexagonal rap. They make appearances on various street-tapes (Chargés à Block, Règlements de comptes.). In January 2006, Sages Comme Ces Images(Wise As These Images) leaves in kiosk. The disc runs out with more than 5000 copies without promotion in only 2 months of exploitation. Same year SPECIO makes a passage noticed on the compilation Illégal Radio, with Fréquence Bitume in duet with Ekoué.

2007 mark the return of the 2 franciliens. Fatal verses on the last opus of La Rumeur (Du coeur à l'outrage), as well as a bomb posed on the project Fat Taf 2 (to be come), place them like the duet to be supervised.

Specimen Music, their album concept soon in stores, should confirm that. One will find there L Rumeur and Boyco (Classic) on productions of Demon, P.A.T Matricks, F.A.S, Nerubi (Redemption), Sem Records and Specio.
