SPEAKERFIRE is a heavy-pop/alternative/hard rock/punk/metal/grunge combo spawned from the blue-collar city of Buffalo, NY. Citing influences such as mega-bands The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and Soundgarden, SPEAKERFIRE are proud outcasts of the stagnant, niche-driven underground scene. Without hesitation the band persistently sifts through hordes of teenagers and 20-something-year-olds to pile onto their bandwagon. IAN (guitar/vocals), STEVE (drums), JOHN (guitar/vocals) and JON (bass) have faith that this machine will effectively distribute a nutritious balance of artistic integrity, captivating melodies, riffs, and thought provoking lyrics throughout the population of the entire galaxy and welcome all who wish to tag along on their pilgrimage towards musical liberation.

In the two short years since the band formed in 2005, SPEAKERFIRE has already found the ability to "reach down your throat, touch your soul, and give you the

urge to punch something" (Fall of Autumn Press). It didn't take very long. The band formed in the Spring of 2005. In the band's first year of existence SPEAKERFIRE, with the help of Frank Vicario, Daryl Taberski and Jon Salemi of Snapcase (Victory Records) recorded and released two demo CD's, of which the second sold over 1,000 copies.

In February of 2006 SPEAKERFIRE traveled to Montgomery, Alabama and spent two long weeks holed up in a shack with no windows, no shower, and no toilet.

It was there that they recorded their EP, "Audio Alchemy" with Hot Rod Circuit (Immortal Records, formerly of Vagrant) front-man, Andy Jackson. "Audio Alchemy" would go on to be mixed by Tim O'Heir (prior works include Say Anything, The Starting Line and The All-American Rejects) and mastered by Jesse Cannon (prior projects include Dillinger Escape Plan, Senses Fail, and Saves the Day).

Since then SPEAKERFIRE has shared the stage with such national acts as: Every Time I Die, Chiodos, The Sleeping, The Number 12 Looks Like You, From a Second Story Window, Cancer Bats, Between the Buried and Me, Hot Rod Circuit, Saosin, Punchline, Taking Back Sunday, Hawthorne Heights, Koufax, Yellowcard, Gatsby's American Dream, Dead to Fall, Nights Like These, 30 Seconds to Mars, Halifax, Socratic, The Ataris and more.
