Bowing down to the almighty dollar has become more important than delivering passionate music with a message. When you take something as heart felt as this music we listen to and pervert it to just another trend, something is truly lost.



Running by the code of never taking themselves too seriously and giving everything they have at each show is the driving force behind Spare the Rod. These boys have learned a few things over the last three years. From shrugging off local criticism to self booking tours and countless shows in their area. After spending their time sharing the stage with such bands as Beast in the Field, See You Next Tuesday, Russian Circles, Today I Wait, Devil Wears Prada, Chiodos and countless more (name drops fully intentional), they are cutting their teeth in the hardest way to make a name for themselves. The time has come for a rebirth in what once made going to shows fun. Before the fashion, before the pit etiquette, before it got to cool to enjoy yourself and appreciate the music you went to see.

Personal experience and self-expression will always win out against whatever the rest of the “scene” will tell you is cool.
