MIXED MSG’S

Gerad Logan is primarily a Producer and Songwriter. He is also the Director of his newly established independent record label. He is famously known for his 2006 Top 20 Smash Hit Single ‘Never Wanna Say’ Featuring EC & Doctor, which received a MOBO nomination and also won an Urban Music Award for ‘Best Newcomer.’



Music is a passion that he developed through his classical & jazz piano training from the age of 8. It was at Newham College in Stratford, studying Music Technology, he was given the name ‘Soundbwoy’ by his peers due to his passion, talent and skill for writing songs and producing beats. This was a defining moment in shaping his future career.

Soundbwoy Entertainment is the name of his independent Record label. This is also the name of the company and the name of the collective he temporarily formed in early 2004.



Soundbwoy with the help of his supportive family and the rest of the Soundbwoy Ent team independently produced and distributed 5 singles namely ‘Dance 2 Dis’, which was a hit on channel U early 2004.

At the age of 16 Soundbwoy began to take his career in music production seriously and made contact with the producer Steve Campbell formerly of ‘Blacksmiths’. Through this collaboration with Campbell, Soundbwoy worked on remixes for major pop artists such as Misteeq’s ‘One Night Stand’, Atomic Kitten’s ‘Eternal Flame’ and many more.



Soundbwoy was then approached to co produce the B-side of Craig David’s ‘Whats your Flava’ by well known and accomplished producer and guitarist Fraser T Smith.



Soundbwoy has also produced for established underground artistes such as Doctor, Baby Blue and Bigz.

At the age of 18 years in 2001, Soundbwoy signed a 3-year contract with Warner Chapel Publishing which opened the doors to working with some of the top writers and producers in the industry, namely Brian Higgins (Girls Aloud, Sugababes) and Soulshock & Karling (Monica and Toni Braxton). This also enabled him to work with French superstar Natacha Atlas.

•Soundbwoy has recently remixed for artists’ Kelis, Shawn Emmanuel and Carmen Reece in addition to working with established underground producers Delinquents.



•The new promotional release ‘Soundbwoy vs. Fish Go Deep’, which currently has the club scene bumping, features singer/songwriter Shaé. The underground remix currently has had good radio circulation on Choice Fm, Galaxy, and BBC 1xtra.



•Soundbwoy has been busy tucked away in the studio producing some hot new tunes and has plans to release more hit singles later this summer. Make sure you look out for the first Grime ’N’ B sounding album towards the end of the year.



•Currently underway is Soundbwoy Ent’s first artist development project - up and coming singer Young Nate (17) who instantly draws a crowd with his tasty vocals – you can’t afford to miss the opportunity to see him live!!



With his distinctive style and creative vision, Gerad ‘Soundbwoy’ Logan intends to be a pioneer by enhancing the British urban music scene, influencing its future direction and nurturing home grown UK talent; bringing back the ‘G.L.O.S.S’ into urban music.
