Soulscourge

O Soulscourge existe desde abril de 2006.



Apesar do pouco tempo de existência, todos integrantes já possuíam suas vivências dentro da cena metal de Florianópolis e são músicos relativamente experientes.



A idéia de criar uma banda de doom partiu de Rafael - "Void Mortem" (Ex- Krophus, Ex-Osculum Obscenum), fã incondicional de doom metal, e de Giuliano - "Gwrath Chaos" (Still Life, Warkings e Yellra).



Para compor os teclados, foi convidada Erika - "WinterLitany" (Ex-Misdeed), uma outra aficcionada do estilo. Logo em seguida entram Rade - "Grafvitnir" (Ex-Misdeed) e Leonardo - "Chagash" (Austhral).



Composições dramáticas e melancólicas, sem contudo subordinar-se a nenhum subestilo de doom, formam a sonoridade do Soulscourge.



Cada música contém suas própria temática e atmosfera, e embora as letras remontem a temas como a angústia e a existência, elas compõem o início de um ciclo de trágicas lieder - Prelude to Tragedy (Demo, 2006).

Soulscourge is a Doom Metal band from Brazil.



Soulscourge was born in April of 2006. Although the little time of its existence, all members have experiences inside the metal scene of Florianópolis (South of Brazil) and they are relatively experienced musicians.



The idea to create a doom metal band was the brainchild of Rafael “Void Mortem” (ex-Khrophus, ex-Osculum Obscenum), unconditional fan of doom metal, and Giuliano “Gwrath Chaos” (Still Life, Warkings, Yellra).



To compose the keyboards they invited Erika “WinterLitany” (ex-Misdeed), another fan of this musical genre. Afterwards enters Rade “Grafvitnir” (ex-Misdeed) and Leonardo “Chagash” (Austhral).



Dramatical and melancholic compositions, without however subordinating themselves to any subgenre, integrate the soundscape of Soulscourge.



Each music has its own thema and atmospheres, and although the lyrics retrace subjects like the anguish and the existence, composing the beginning of a tragic cycle of lieder - Prelude to Tragedy (Demo, 2006).
