Soul Motion

Soul Motion is a small clubnight constantly moving in and around Bruges. Belgium.



Soul Motion emerged out of a strong believe in the power of listening & dancing to good music.

Our dj's are deeply in love with music and the culture that surrounds it. They'll serve you a sweet cocktail of open minded, powerfull groove, aimed at the head and the feet :



Funk, dancefloor jazz, afro-latin grooves, soul, brazilian vibes, pop music, bossa-, deep-, soul- and house, disco, boogie, salsa, latin.



. we try to expose quality music, no matter what individual sound or style is featured; in this process we are inspired by the sounds of the past, present and future.



Soul Motion supports talented individuals or groups in all kinds of artistic disciplines. That's why we combine some of our nights with exhibitions of our favourite artists.



The original idea of Soul Motion was to organize parties in the centre of Bruges as an alternative to the poor local scene back in the days. Everybody was welcome to join in. our goal was to create a nice crowdy booty shake atmosphere. It all started back in 1996, when our first parties were held, under a name I can't even remember.



Since then a lot has happened, we went studying, moved, stopped organizing, working, came back etc. but the concept of organizing cosy evenings with good music was kept alive and we picked it up in November 2004.



We did a series of nights on monthly bases at the Versteende Nacht, a jazz café in the centre of Bruges, played some incredible versatile sets there, soulful and funky music in an incredible atmosphere, a lot of nice people came over and the sound was soo freakin' good there. Unfortunately, the owner decided to leave and due some other problems we decided to move around, throwing the parties on different locations.



We're planning some more evenings you will hear about in the near future.
