"Cartoon" -
Classic old school Soul Asylum rock. I've always liked the two lead singer vibe, even before they were "Soul Asylum." This one's lot of fun to play live as well .
"Success Is Not So Sweet" -
I recently revisited this song on a train ride to NYC. I have to say it's one of my favorites off of the latest record. It's got a double spin, in fact - it's a great pop song, and I really love the lyrics. This track may be too much of a downer for the live show, but I think we should play it more anyway .
"Bus Named Desire" -
This song means a lot because there was such a huge void left by Karl for all of us, our friends, and families. All I could do was try to bring some good energy into the studio and have fun with this tune. Suffice it to say, I think he would have been digging the way the rock went down that night. R.I.P., me brotha .
"Let's All Kill Each Other" -
Ah c'mon, it makes sense to me!
thanx for listening!
