Sostre is a New York-based, Spanish pop artist that writes, produces and engineers all of his own material and creates a sound that fuses pop, rock, hip hop, soul, and musica Latina.

“I create everything myself,” says Sostre. “I will have a concept or a harmony, sometimes play out the melody on the piano and before you know It I’m recording vocals in the booth.”

Blessed with the vocal chords of his mother, who’s also a singer, Sostre is also a true poet and songwriter, who found himself writing 5 songs a day at the age of 14. In his hometown of Yabucooa, Puerto Rico Sostre received the nickname “The Most Who Writes” and was encouraged to move to New York City. He’s a passionate artist with the laid back appeal of a true romantic.

Influenced by fellow crooners such as Ryan Leslie, fellow Boricua Tempo and hit-maker The Dream, Sostre was featured on NBA-player and recording artist Ron Artest’s single “La La Ladies” (Warner Brothers, 2006) and is building a reputation for his melodic quality and strong work ethic.

While Sostre work with few producers outside of himself, He has found inspiration in a few and recently recorded with Eliot “El Mago de Oz” (Flow Music), A&X (Orfanato Music Group), and Flavamatikz (Q-York Entertainment).

Sostre’s first effort, the up-tempo single “Atrevete” debuted at #45 on the Latin Billboard Charts. It also earned radio play on WORC-Power 1310 in Worcester, MA, where it reached the #1 spot, on WLTA-Mega 910, WKKB-Latina 100.3, WRYM-La Gigante, and WHOL-Hola 1600AM and is creating a fan base for this emerging group. The music video for “Atrevete” will make its network debut on MTV Tr3s in late January.

In 2010, Sostre will release his debut album “Loves Apprentice” (100 Porciento Inc. & Fatal Musik) in stores and online.
