independent label focussing on impossible to find or previously unreleased recordings from jazz, funk, and soul music history. Sonorama was founded in May 2004 and its releases are distributed and marketed by Groove Attack/ Cologne for international availability. Clearing all recordings ourselves, we try to bring you original versions from the master tapes, remastered stuff from the shelves aswell as authorized remixes or reworks by contemporary producers on CD and on classic vinyl formats (Lp, 12", 7" Ep). Most original releases of our products change hands for hundreds, others are released on Sonorama for the first time ever - In case you cannot find our records at your local dealer, please use the mailorder function on our website. We maintain direct networking with cutting edge artists, producers, promoters and publishers to be our goal, for trying to provide highly memorable music in the form of a timeless and openminded treasure chest. For many years we love to collect and play a vast range of rare 60s & 70s vinyl records at home or for dj use, then started to work on own releases for letting you know it is about sharing the love . He started the label in 2004 and is currently working on the 60th release in summer 2011. The goal is to resurrect rare and soulful music from around the world, finally making it available to appreciative audiences - vintage jazz, funk, soul music gems from around the world with a strong eye on our European roots. We keep trying to work on rare sounds from some of the most wanted records or music library sounds, that have vanished from markets and memories, sought after by DJs and collectors, all remastered, many unreleased, some remixed or re-edited. Names on CDs, LPs and 7inches include rare music by jazz legends like Mark Murphy, Greetje Kauffeld, Freddy Cole, Peter Herbolzheimer, Elsie Bianchi, many undiscovered radio or sound library tracks, soul and funk pearls by Don Adams, Atlas, Memphis Black, Afro funk treasury by Mombasa, Brazilian jazz/ Bossa Nova sounds from legends like Vera Brasil, G/9 Group and many others. For over ten years now, Ekkehart Fleischhammer is playing clubs and corporate events throughout Germany with his "Sonorama DJ-Set", that includes nearly nothing from his already lifted stuff on Sonorama Records.
