Originally from Atlanta, Georgia and living in the Midwest since 2003, Sonny Bamboo is part of Hip Hop's next generation. Leading the way for his state and region, Sonny is the Midwest President for the world's largest rap battle league, Grind Time Now. He is the MTV Fight Klub champion for Indianapolis, the Scribble Jam Indianapolis pre-lim winner, along with the back to back to back champion of the Indiana Hip Hop Congress battle. His live show won him the first ever Indiana Hip Hop Battle of the Bands in 2008, and he recently released the third installment to his 'Staying Alive' mixtape series with DJ Wushu. He also has a compilation record that recently dropped and is available on iTunes titled 'Monsters in the Midway' with features from Freeway, Trick Trick, Termanology, Pace Won, and many more.
