12 Years Sonic Dolls - 12 Years of Punk Rock Wanderzirkus.



Based on the genetic fusion of Ronald McDonald, Agent Orange, the dirt under the fingernails of the Ramones and the cardboard box packing of a paternity test passed from a uniovular twin to a one-legged twin, the Sonic Dolls left all clues for the reasons of their weirdness behind in a lonely Dutch trashcan. In music the Sonic Dolls clone sheep has surely grazed on each and every meadow in the whole wide Punk Rock world, so that the clone sheep of the Richies, the Badtown Boys and the Stiff Little Fingers would have had to suffer very much hunger, if they ever happened to exist. No one ever asked for any suggestion concerning the name of the clone sheep and it would be desirable to be considered not. All the more it surprises that none of the band members can surf anywhere outside the internet, which led already to frequent comparisons to the Beach Boys. 12 years and nevertheless still no Last Tour, still no anniversary concert and also no Pferdedressurnummer (look that one up yourself!).

So you see the baguette is not eaten yet, just been sucking on it. For the time being the Dolls already played all over Germany, half of Europe and toured the U.S.A. twice, and nevertheless they are glad to be on the road again and again.

After 12 years, 11 Singles and dozens of compilation tracks were finally awaiting the Rhinelanders fifth studio-album for September 11th on Flight 13 records.

Als Basis diente die gentechnische Verschmelzung von Ronald McDonald, Agent Orange, dem Dreck unter den Fingernägeln der Ramones und der Kartonverpackung eines von einem eineiigen Zwilling an einen einbeinigen Zwilling verkauften Vaterschaftstests. Musikalisch wurden vom Sonic Dolls Klonschaf so ungefähr jede Wiese in der großen Punk Rock Welt leer gefressen, so dass vor allem die Klonschafe der Richies, der Badtown Boys und der Stiff Little Fingers sehr viel Hunger hätten leiden müssen, wenn es sie denn gegeben hätte. Es wurde von der Band übrigens nie darum gebeten Namensvorschläge für das Schaf in irgendeiner Form zu äußern und es wäre wünschenswert dieses zu berücksichtigen. Umso mehr verwundert es, dass keines der Bandmitglieder surfen kann, was schon sehr häufig zu Vergleichen mit den Beach Boys geführt hat. 12 Jahre und trotzdem noch keine Abschiedstour, noch kein Jubiläumskonzert und auch keine Pferdedressurnummer. Es ist also noch längst nicht die ganze Palette ausgeschöpft. In diesen zwölf Jahren Sonic Dolls wurden aber bereits vier Studio-Alben, eine Live-LP und zehn Singles, sowie sehr viele T-Shirts und für den Winter bald auch eine Wollmütze geschaffen (näheres zu alledem ist unter www.sonicdolls.de zu finden) Unterwegs war die Band praktisch schon in ganz Deutschland, halb Europa und gar zweimal in den U.S.A., und ist doch immer wieder froh auf Tour sein zu können. Vermutlich spielen sie gar sehr bald ganz in Deiner Nähe.



12 Jahre Sonic Dolls 12 Jahre Punk Rock Wanderzirkus. Vielleicht hat der Tiger nicht mehr alle Zähne, der Elefant ein Holzbein und der Clown ist auch nicht mehr ganz so witzig, aber Spaß macht es allemal. Wer braucht das?? Wer braucht das nicht?!
