BAND HISTORY

Arisen out of the ashes of Forever, Somewhere Into Nowhere was founded by the End of July 2002 by Deddy Andler (guitars), Wolfgang Frank (guitars and bass), Alex Hlousek (drums) and singer Jason Marks.

With their minds full of questions and dreams how to continue their musical life, the band was standing at a big crossroad. The name was choosen to express the step into the unknown and the beginning of a new musical adventure. And by taking just the first letters of the name you get S.I.N. - which also looks and sounds cool by the way!

S.I.N. soon decided to go to the well known House-of-Audio studio and record their self-titled debut album which consisted of 10 songs. This debut was released in september 2003 thru MTM-Music and was quite a huge success. Throughout the reviews the band gained a very positiv feedback. The album was called "record of the month" in serveral online magazines and it's opener "Crucified" was even nominated "song of the year" in a fiew of them. The band was voted MTM-Newcomer of the year, and also got a very good reputation in japan. Famed japanese magazine BURRN! listed "Somewhere Into Nowhere" on the third place of their import-charts, and gave the record a 90% ranking in the review. This was the second highest ranking in this issue of BURRN! But the band did not take a rest on this succes and continued to work.

The second album "Equilibrium" was finished in spring 2005. Because of the huge succes of S.I.N. in japan, the band got in contact with several japanese labels and was lucky enough to sign a deal with the reputated label Marquee/Avalon for asia. The band split from MTM-Music and released "Equilibrium" through Metalheaven in europe. This follow-up carried on the succes of "Somewhere Into Nowhere". The album was a big success in japan again. The press called it the "right step in the right direction", and also some life shows with bands like Axxis, Wicked Sensation or Shylock were in the planing stage.

But things came a little different. By the end of 2005 the band was forced to take a line-up change due to the singer leaving. To make the change a real change, Wolfgang Frank decided to fully concentra on his guitar playing and leave the bass. Jan Ebert, former bass-player for bands like Scenes, Pump or Saidian, was found as the new man for the four-string.

In September 2006 the long search for a new voice was finally over. Hush-Singer Patrick Simonsen joins the band. This is the kick-off for a new album to come.
