Since popping onto the music scene five years ago, Norwegian indie pop band Something Sally has consistently delivered music, videos and live performances that have met with international appeal.

And Something Sally is usually assosiated with abroad – no wonder, considering the band spent their early years in the UK, and after returning to their home country have played more than 50 or so shows around Europe and Asia.

The doors to the international scene became wide open as Something Sally in 2007 performed for more than 45 000 people as soul prodigy Joss Stones´ support act on her tour across Europe. Shows in everything from large concert halls and arenas such as Lotto Arena in Antwerp and Ahoy in Rotterdam to club venues such as Vega in Copenhagen was an important education for the band. They received great reviews and since then they have continued to amaze. After visiting Mumbai, India in spring of 2009 they were praized as “one of the most promising bands from Europe”.

In the fall of 2009, Norwegian radio listeners got a hint of what´ s to come. With the pre release single “Feel It!” the band proved they master more sides than what put them on the map with the debut album “Familiar Strangers” in 2008. “Feel It!” was well received and was playlisted for more than 15 weeks on national radio.

The band´ s second album “Pointerdog” was released in Norway 2010 and was met with great reviews.

“On Pointerdog the radiohits hit you at a steady frequency throughout the album, while at the same time the band has enough depth to create a complete, wholehearted album.“ – puls.no

“The Thrill sounds like an audience-conquering hit with a mix of synthrock and dancepop and should be a shock to the brits. On their debut, Something Sally was trendy in the UK, now they seem like even more strong-willed, European trend setters.” - Farojournalen

The band is now exploring a larger musical width and will not allow anything to be left out. With "Pointerdog" they bare their teeth and shows us a more electronic side with a classic synthpop format, with creative use of analog synthesizers and vocal arrangements reminiscent of the 80’s electro style and artists such as Cocteau Twins, Julee Cruise and The Cure.

“Pointerdog” is produced in collaboration with Jonas Raabe (Pop Levi, Guillemots)
