Fuck a "hiatus", people: We broke up! It was good times while it lasted. We remain proud of and grateful to all of you for the accomplishments and experiences that have marked this band's two-year tenure; however, the current line-up has no plans to reunite anytime soon. For now, everyone is busy hyping all their other, newer shit.

Guitarist/Producer Greg Parker will be moving to Baltimore and pursuing a new project: "Your Own Disaster" (www.myspace.com/yourowndisaster). Your Own Disaster has released a free demo available for download on their myspace.

Lead Vocalist Mikiel Peratino intends to focus on working for the immediate future.

Bassist Rory Raley is an engineering major at The University of Maryland, College Park. He now plays in On The Silver Screen.

Guitarist/songwriter G'Ra Asim moved to Champaign, IL where he is currently working as a freelance writer and planning his next musical endeavor.

Drummer Carlos Rueda will be focusing on his other band "An Obscure Signal" (www.myspace.com/AnObscureSignal). Please check them out!

FAQ

-Where are you guys from? When did you get started?

We hail from the town of Rockville, MD, just outside of Washington, D.C. We played our first show on December 14, 2006 and we’ve been bringing the heat ever since.

-Will you guys comment/message me back or are you too cool?

We are all about keeping in contact with all of the fan-tastic people that support our band. From time to time, we will even engage the haters as well. It can be hectic responding to everything at times, but we’ll always do our best to stay in contact.

-When are you guys playing out next? How can I book you?

All of our confirmed performance dates appear in the “shows” area beneath the music player. If you’d like for us to play a show or private party, we respectfully request that all booking inquiries are sent to somelikeithotband@yahoo.com rather than the Hotspace. Feel free to use the Hotspace for casual correspondence, however.

- How can I get a cd? Where can I find those awesome t-shirts? And let’s not forget stickers!

Cds, t-shirts, tickets to our shows and other merch are all available through our webstore on the left hand side of the Hotspace. A paypal account is required.

-What happened to Jase? I saw you guys before with a different lead singer. Who’s that on the cd?

Our original singer left the band for personal reasons right around the end of recording time. We have a new vocalist, his name is Mikiel, and he owns. Come out to the shows to see the songs done his way- we think the contrast between the vocal style on the recordings and our live interpretations actually makes our live show that much more interesting. Come rock out and see if you agree!

-Did you guys really write a song with 70 of your fans’ names in it?

We absolutely did, and it was good times if we do say so ourselves! The jam is called “Kicking Ass and Taking Names." Some Like it Hot is always looking for new and creative ways to keep the fans involved, so keep an eye out for opportunities and maybe next time it’ll be your name in a song!

-Wow, you guys are sick! What can I do to help you out?

We love when fans are proactive about promoting us. Try doing one or all of the following:

-Posting bulletins telling your friends about us

-Rocking one of our songs as your profile song

-Sliding us into a top eight spot on your space

- Working us into your myspace name eg: Sara Likes it Hot

-Joining our street team (friend the account in our top friends for details)

-Coming to the shows and spreading the word
