SNiPER

Anthony Melas aka Sniper was born in England and grew up between his hometown of London and his cultural home of Cyprus; more specifically, Ayia Napa.
Fast-forward twenty something years and the wordsmith/producer has been played across Europe, featured on Chart Hits, topped the AMAZON and HMV UK download charts, performed and collaborated with bona fide superstars from both sides of the Atlantic such as 50 Cent, Memphis Bleek, Akon, Julian Marley, Illestr8, Juelz Santana, N.O.R.E, Sway, Mutya Buena, Curtis Young and Rick Ross and appeared in numerous publications throughout Europe and the UK.
His first recording success was with the UK chart-topping So Solid Crew, who he produced for as well as featured as an artist. Other notable early achievements include the official remix of the Cassius Henry single featuring Freeway "The One" – with Sniper's remix also featuring an appearance from Kanye West.
Meanwhile, Sniper was putting on a number of events in London that led to him forming a relationship with B-Hi (Memphis Bleek's then manager and cousin of Jay-Z). This led to a working relationship and friendship with Bleek and interest in Sniper's beats from the States. On Jay-Z's Athens tour stop, Sniper, Bleek, Green Lantern and The Roc got together and recorded "The Scope's on You Volume 1" in just three days. The mixtape single 'Around the World' received video play across Europe on MTV, spins on all major UK radio outlets and topped the HMV UK download charts for 4 weeks.
Having released the highly acclaimed free download 'The Scope's on You Volume 2' hosted by DJ Green Lantern which was covered by the world's leading hip-hop websites, The Prince of Europe's guerrilla tactics have created great awareness virally, with his MySpace (www.myspace.com/snipermusic) site reaching the top 3 in the UK unsigned rap charts and his Facebook community (www.facebook.com/snipermusic and www.facebook.com/likesniper) growing daily while subscribers of www.snipermusic.com and www.3fifty7.com are joining the 'Familia' day by day. Sniper has also amassed a huge number of hits on Youtube (www.youtube.com/snipermusictv) and can be followed on Twitter (www.twitter.com/snipermusic).
Sniper's creative insight led to the setup of his own creative based production house 3fifty7 distributed by Nova/Universal. His Single 'DAT BODY' which started as an underground mix-tape track in 2009- topped the Amazon and HMV UK download charts; reaching Number 1 and top 10 positions respectively. Sniper's single also featured on BBC Radio1 with a live performance (summer 2010) and smashed record industry standards when it went commercial – by Going Gold in Cyprus in 2010. Sniper has his scope focussed and is about to fire his first bullets out of the chamber, with his debut album due to be released. Like any good marksman, some shots will get you moving and some will hit you in the heart, while others will simply blow you away.
