Kevin Werdelmann is a young artist from the often overlooked German industrial town Bochum, a town full of antagonisms, where industry borders on idyll, and culture on working class attitude. An antagonism, that Kevin shares with his beloved hometown:

Born in 1981 he discovers his early affection for electronic music. With Kraftwerk and Vince Clarke among his heroes, he soon tries on writing his own songs and soundtracks, with an Amiga 500 homecomputer as his only equipment. The first audible result of his work is the concept-album London finished in 1997, which already received enthusiastic reviews.

But apart from his weakness for electronic music, he falls in love with British guitar music. Bands like The Verve, Radiohead and Travis and Songwriters like Nick Drake and Paul Weller are a great inspiration that drive him to the purchase of his first guitar.

Many successful gigs follow under the artistname of Slowtide, sharing the stage with reknowned bands like Gravenhurst, British Sea Power and Eskobar. Joined up by his live-band, that is Kathi Werning on bass and Aaron Jablonski on drums, hes on the road to present songs from his first album entitled Origins (released on Jan 16, 2009), on which he forms his influences to a homogenic ensemble.
