Sleater Brockman began DJing with his best pal Spruce Lee when the pair were just out of high school. Using belt drive turntables they found on the side of the road, Sleater and Spruce would set up a sound system at their friends' house parties each weekend and play records until the sun came up.

Five years on from those humble beginnings, Sleater Brockman still pretends he's playing a house party every time he's behind the decks of clubs all across Australia.

Sleater Brockman is a member of Ro Sham Bo, who were the first DJs to play Baltimore Club, Baile Funk and other exciting new genres from around the world in Australian clubs. Sleater Brockman also made a name for himself DJing for live acts Muscles, Catcall and, most recently, America's Yo! Majesty.

Alongside DJ friends Diplo and Ninalasvegas, Sleater founded Heaps Decent, Australian sister label to Diplo's Mad Decent label. Heaps Decent is an initiative that seeks out underprivileged youth in NSW and provides them with the resources to be musically creative. At these Heaps Decent workshops, Sleater Brockman has worked closely with Diplo, M.I.A., Spank Rock, Radioclit and other good hearted musicians from around the world.

In clubs and at festivals across Australia and USA in the last 6 months, Sleater Brockman has played a mix of as many genres as the crowd can handle, the whole time pretending he's at a suburban house party.
