SlavEATgoD Bio:
SlavEATgoD are a modern metal band based in Athens, GR. It consists of Themis, Chris Nanos, SinniK Al, Stelios Nanos and Vic Mihas.
Currently, they have released their first digital single/third official music video "It's Been So Long" from their upcoming sophomore full length CD. This single was recorded at Growl Studios of Athens, while the mixing and mastering were done by Tue Madsen, head of the Antfarm Studios in Denmark, also responsible for the production of The Haunted, Dark Tranquility and Moonspell among others.
The lead and background vocalist-in both growls and clean ones- is Themis, the new, highly skilled singer of the band, who made his dynamic live debut with SlavEATgoD as the main support act for Devildriver. Chris Nanos, is the rhythm guitarist and owner of the Growl Studios in Athens. Hence, he is the main responsible for the guitar and bass recordings and editing. SinniK Al (also of Seduce The Heaven, Versus Heaven, I Bow Candles and solo instrumentalist) is the lead guitarist and occasional keyboardist, combining shredding with an intense melodic touch. Stelios Nanos is the bass player and also main responsible for many of the keyboards, introduced in SlavEATgoD's newest release. Finally, Vic Mihas contributes his technical and powerful drumming, combining groovy and modern drumming with extreme edges.
The band was formed in 2007. After endless rehearsing, they managed to melt together a sound of their own, combining metal-core grooves with heavy guitar parts and catchy melodies, which along with the brutal and clean vocal lines make the whole output sound fresh and varied. They have shared the stage with Devildriver, Suicide Angels, W.E.B. and Descending among others and toured intensely around Greece.
They have already released a critically acclaimed EP (8/10 Greek Metal Hammer, 9/10 metal-eagle.com and 9/10 rocking.gr) and a full self-financed and released length CD "Blank Core Inn" (Subexistance.com 8/10) mastered by Peter In De Betou (Messhuggah, Arch Enemy, Bring Me The Horizon, Dimmu Borgir). Two songs from this record, were also shot as music videos ("The Quitter", "Hell-Kunt Beat Me").
