"this then" (2008) CDR

Composed in 2001 in the basement of a haunted old mansion in San Francisco's gay
olde Castro district. These compositions were made up primarily of 1/4 inch
reel-to-reel tape recordings (some of them were source material from "momma:key"
sessions) of acoustic sounds as well as analogue synthesizer. These initial analog
recordings then underwent some digital manipulations and were arranged into new
compositions, then shelved for a time. In 2007 editing and massive condensing
bringing this completed work to fruition in 2008.
"deluxe miracle toy" (2005) CDR
A Pocket Full of Skozeys
Only a few copies were made and traded with fellow artists or given out to
friends. Original sound source for track "11) brite yellow part 3" is a
1/4-inch reel-to-reel recording of a live brain & Jared Hooper
collaboration. Message skozey fetisch here through MySpace for availability
or if you are an interested record label (would like to see this realized as
a double LP release).
skozey fetisch / Future Blondes split (2008) CDR
Available through FLA Industries this limited edition split release with Future Blondes,
CDR package in a DVD clamshell,comes with inserts and liner notes from both
projects. skozey fetisch portion entitled "excavations from the heart of absence" is 3
studio tracks and 4 live tracks. One studio track features Gary Floyd (The Dicks,
Sister Double Happieness, Black Kali Ma). Also featured are: Kasper Rodenborn
(creditied as James D. Rodenborn - Amphibious Gestures), Ethan Drown H., Mr. E Von Æ.
"magnetic rain trap (homage to Bruce Connor)" (2008) CDR
Made available by A Pocket Full of Skozeys, extremely limited edition with handmade
covers by Kasper/Amphibious Gestures. Studio version of composition performed at
Hemlock Tavern on Aug. 8, 2008. Live version for two manipulated reel-to-reels and effects
performed by Derek Donohue (Horseflesh) and
Kasper Rodenborn (Amphibious Gestures). Studio version was three reel-to-reels and
effects, the third manipulated by Mark C. Jackman (skozey fetisch).
First copies were available at performance.
"momma:key" (1995) CD
Silent/Sulphur Records - very OUT OF PRINT but usually available on eBay.
Field recordings, reel-to-reel tape manipulation, musique concrete, analogue synthesizer
and some EVP (electronic voice phenomena). No effects boxes (ie. reverb, delay, etc.)
used in this recording, all effects are of an accoustical nature or created using the various
methods of tape manipulation. Recorded 1991, released on CD 1995.

skozey fetisch is the sound art/experimental music project of mark c. jackman.
mark c. was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and relocated to San Francisco in 1988.
The first skozey fetisch recordings were executed in San Francisco's
Haight/Ashbury district in 1989. mark c. also dabbles in the visualable arts and is
the artist primarily responsible for skozey fetisch album covers and designs.
The conceptualization of skozey fetisch occured when mark c. began scoring the
experimental independent films of Andrew Langton, which in turn led to composing
scores for the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company while studying
Experimental/Electronic Music under Dr. Vladimir Ussachevsky and Tracy Peterson at
the University of Utah. Around this time mark c. became the official Music Director of
A Company Of Four - Modern Dance-Theater. Mr. jackman also worked extensively
as a performer and choreographer with the company.

fetisch: a charm, talisman, or any object that causes a habitual response.
