this song Skin Tight is an exerpt from an album recorded in '91.The whole album was recorded at Dave Shogren's studio outside of San Fransisco.Dave,who of course,was the original bassist for the Doobie Bros,plays and engineered the project.In our pre-production meeting,Dave and my producer "Mac"McCarty said there was no way they were going to let me sing this song.Inspite of my fine voice,they said they knew just the guy to sing it,that could do it justice.
When Max came in-he was just this skinny guy who was as cool as could be.He listened to my demo a couple times,even charting it out,like a true professional.We ran the tape and when Max began to sing,my jaw dropped.What a killer voice!He sang backups on couple other songs we did.
Upon returning to Chicago,our home base,I called Max on the road and we got together again backstage with Todd Rundgren.I wish I couldv'e known Max better,but I'll always be grateful that he lent his great voice to my project.
