Skinless Finger

Skinless Finger are one of the most unique bands to come out of Manchester in recent times. Their music is a unique fusion of hip-hop, rock and funk which draws upon elements of other genres to add to and define their truly individual sound.



What really distinguishes the band are their live shows. Powerful guitar riffs, electrically charged solo’s, brain rattling bass, supercharged drums, rapid-fire conscious rap, with commercially catchy vocal hooks and melodies that ingrain themselves into the psyche of any given audience. Watching the band onstage it is impossible not to be drawn into the positive atmosphere and energy they create. They simply ooze with style and flair, with a casual and sophisticated sense of originality.



They dive into a rarely explored musical realm, inviting audience members to share and become part of the experience. They give their genre the credibility it deserves, something different, far detached from gimmicks and bravado, Skinless Finger have successfully forged their own path.



They are a driving force; certainly one to be reckoned with, collecting momentum and a devoted following as they travel this path with a humble attitude and determination.



In 2009 Skinless Finger released their debut album “Uncle Funk”, crowned unsigned album of the year by Rob Adcock of BBC Stoke Subculture show, “Uncle Funk” is a funk blasted amalgamation of rock, hip-hop and truly independent music. Additionally in 2009, Skinless Finger placed 1st for the entire North of England in the Surface Unsigned Festival, one of the largest UK unsigned festivals, going on to perform at the o2 Arena in London.



Skinless Finger have recently recorded and released their brand new EP, “Employment Vs Enjoyment”. Demonstrating a harder edge in their new material, Skinless Finger successfully maintain many of the familiar characteristics of “Uncle Funk”, once again establishing a new and unique, yet recognisable sound.



Skinless Finger are a force unlike other bands. They exist beyond the boundaries of genre, defiant and proud of what they have accomplished to date.
