Black Cassette

Black Cassette started with Sjoerd Bruil recording music on his 4track cassette machine surrounded by mice and coffee in an attic room in Antwerp, Belgium. 2006 saw the birth of Black Cassette, a rock combo. There are three of us and we play music that consists of elements of Blues, Beefheart, Prince and the occasional tearjerker. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Black Cassette is: Jeroen Stevens (from ILoveSarah) on drums, vocals and Pascal Deweze (Sukilove) on bass, vocals, complemented by Sjoerd on guitar and vocals. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The entire lineup of Black Cassette has been incorporated into PAWLOWSKI - a new group headed by MAURO PAWLOWSKI along with Elko Blijweert and Ben Younes. Next gig: 25 November at De Warande, Turnhout!

Sjoerd sang and played guitar with TIM VANHAMEL when he hit the road with his solo record. We've been playing a lot of festivals, including Werchter, Pukkelpop, Marktrock, Dour, Dranouter, Lokerse Feesten, Maanrock, Feest i/h Park.
Now, Sjoerd is part of a new band called BROKEN GLASS HEROES, together with Pascal and Tim. You've heard of us.

Sjoerd sings a duet with Gregory Frateur on DEZ MONA's 2007 album 'Moments of Dejection or Despondency'. The song is called 'Flawless Daughter'.
