Born in East Jersey with a dream and a dresscode, Sizzler Ponderosa knew he would some day acheive his goals. His musical education began early, growing up under the tutelage of his mother's Choral group (3rd chair mezzo soprano) and his father's masterful fire-side harmonica playing (chromatic).

While most children of the 90's were in the throws of self loathing grunge music, Sizzler was styled quite differently, indeed. His job at the retro diner in the local mall instilled a deep-seated love for all things 60's pop. The resulting sappy twang acquired from singing along to hours of old heartbreak songs made it difficult for Sizzler to relate to modern teens.

Determined to liberate himself from the barriers of high school clicks -- (and to exit from the door closest to his house, where the Jamaican kids hung out) -- Sizzler decisively played it cool in his formative years, absorbing as much dancehall reggae as he could between the front door and his bike.

One fateful day, a Jamaican classmate and his family came into the diner, and Sizzler decided to give them a taste of 60's pop, blasting Lou Christie's "Two Faces Have I." Excited by hopes of finding a musical cohort in his classmate, Sizzler struggled to decipher the family's order over the loud music, their patois crashing into the blaring song in a cacophony that could only inspire a boy who grew up around chorus. Thus was born Sizzler's signature fusion of 60's pop and reggae. (Sizzler messed up the family's order, so the classmate called him a bumbaclot and the collaboration was never meant to be.)

Self produced, self recorded and allergic to shellfish, Sizzler is a solo fusion artist, fated to move the stars with his heart-wrenching tunes.
