Started in year 1994, same age with ACAB & Boot Off. Lead by Bond and his friends, Aidil, Mandela, ZulHuzaimi (actor), Nicky and Ellone (we forgot some of the names). They play Oi! and covering Sham69, The Business, Blitz and others streetpunk anthem. Skinrovers had change their line up for several times. And after a few years rocking the stage, the band decided to stop. Skinrovers was RIP in 1996 for some unknown reason. They never release any record or material.
Back in 1999, Shamill (ex Scaryolke) make a move to start the Skinrovers again. At the same time, skinhead culture were took place around the nation. Bond was back on stage with his new skinhead reggae The Riddim Boys.
Badul, Hafiz@Arepitt, Shahidan@Idan were the new lineup for the new breed Skinrovers with Shamill & Eddie. Shahidan@Idan left the band for some comitment and Skinrovers start to play at Port Dickson in Mac 2000 (Pusat Hiburan Ikna). Most of the crowd were surprise, Bond was not with the band.
2002 & 2003, Badul@Shahrul & Arepit@Hafiz left the band. But Zaki (The Offiside) came in and join the band as a bassist. (Note: Zaki is UiTM student and doing his Diploma in UiTM Seri Manjung & Seri Iskandar at that time)
2004,Skinrovers involved in Tribute To ACAB Volume I, Unfairground with their style. Tq to Magoo (The Official) for this great opportunity and Mr Tang. The tribute album was produce by Clockwork Records and were recorded at 101 Studio, Kelana Jaya by Mr Eric (OAG) and Eddie J. Herwan (The Aggrobeats).
Skinrovers 1st ever released, Voice of Oi! EP, sold about 200 copies (by hand & post) and recorded at Trinity Studio, Ipoh in Feb 2005. Sod (Roots & Boots) give his hand and some advise when the recording and most important, Bond also there to show his support. Nor forget, Jayz & Along, the Siblings. Skinrovers are Shamill (vocals & guitars), Zaki@Mat Key (bass) and Eddie (drums) during the recording.
Now (year 2008) Skinrovers is still here. They never forget the street, never forget the crowd,never forget the spirit, never forget the music. Tq very much to our friends out there. Our supporters and our fans (do we have??). Stay tune for their 2nd release Viva La Oi! (next year maybe).
