2000black Records features artist Silhouette Brown with a new dimension in modern NuJazz Soul sounds with warm subtleties of Hip-Hop and London flair.
Silhouette Brown currently resides in New York and emerges from the ranks of London’s musical hub with production skills by the trilogy that is Dego (founder of 2000black and one-half of the duo 4hero), Kaidi Tatham (member of 2000black/Agent K/Bugz In The Attic) with the co-writing/production talents of Bembe Segue.
In 2005, Silhouette Brown’s self-titled album featured songstress Deborah Jordan with her sultry blend of jazz and soul. Deborah’s best known for her work with London-based avant garde jazz band, Panacea. Today, Silhouette Brown is joined by the unmistakable vocal sounds of Philadelphia’s Lady Alma.
Lady Alma has appeared on countless club classics from King Britts' Sylk130 ‘When the Funk Hits The Fan’ to the UK Mercury Award nominated 4hero’s ‘Hold It Down’. Soaring with a distinctive soulful voice with elements rooted in church, Lady Alma displays all her versatility and warm spirit alongside a live band. This band delivers future-soul-sonics that are edgy with sounds that journey through soulful-head-nods for an uplifting and live experience.
