Silent John's beats speak louder than words. and his rep can only grow bigger. This Beatsmith has been layin' down tracks within San Jose's Underground Hip-Hop circuit since the beginning of 2000. Working with an abundance of raw (uncut) and talented individuals. Those of which include Esoin The Esoteric Being, Rhyme Persuader, Left, Dem0ne, Poeticali Distherbd , Rahman Jamaal, L. Scatteredbrain and DJ Presto One of the Rock Steady Crew. He has worked on a handful of full length projects and releases, 12" singles and compilations to add to his collection. His style at times can be compared to current main-stay producers like The Alchemist, Evidence, or some raw Beatminerz production from the past. Silent John credits his influences from over a handful of pioneer producers from back than to now, like Afrika Bambataa, DJ Premier to Pete Rock. As soulful as the styles he portrays- there’s that sense of crate diggin' throughout the cuts. a vibe of originality that pays homage "in search of the perfect beat."

Within a creative effort and decision, Silent John packed up his bags and moved down to Los Angeles, California during the fall of 2004 in order to achieve a broader level of connection within the industry. Obviously the gamble paid off, as connections came about with a number of high profile individuals and projects with in the Hip-Hop circuit. Though it all began in San Jose California, Silent John is hoping to make bigger noise down in Los Angeles, where the music scene is heavy and the big name acts reside.

His "Next Movement" which Silent John plans to produce for during the ‘05 and beyond include, The Pharcyde, and Q-Unique (formerly of the Arsonists). SJ is also involved in the "Jimi Handtrix Experiment" (Featuring a band of upcoming and renown DJ’s- DJ Presto One, Havik, Fuse One, DJP, Charlie Darker, Daeta, Earwaxxx, DueceAce and Silent John himself). Not bad for a kid leaving his mark in San Jose California- who is only on the come up of good things to come.
