SGNL has been a musician all of his life.Picking up a guitar at the age of 12, he quickly adopted the instrument as an extension of his soul, learning how to play jazz and progressive metal at a phenomenal rate.Within time he would find himself behind a computer with a pair of headphones on, writing spacey Drum & Bass beats which rich soundscapes and cyber punk basslines.
His professional career was launched with the formation of the Drum & Bass neurofunk trio, the Robot Death Squad.Driven by ambitions to create epic, futuristic music with an edge, the group achieved a slew of releases spanning across such renowned international labels as Covert Operations, Flatline Audio, Barcode Recordings, and the legendary Moving Shadow just to name a few.
SGNL's solo endeavors are marked by the approach of his first full length album that will be entitled New Horizon, off the Australian label Lowercase Music.The album's style can be best described as deep, atmospheric, and above all forward thinking.SGNL's clinical approach to music engineering, combined with his distinct touch of soul and vision, has created a seminal body of work that will change the face of bass music forever.Keep your eyes and ears open, SGNL is doing new things.
