Sickstring Outlaws

The Sickstring Outlaws are a outlaw/bluegrass country band whose main goal is to show people a good time by keeping old school country/southern rock music alive. The San Diego based band whose members consist of lead singer/songwriter Ron Houston, guitarist Rizzy Rizbourne, electric bassist and harmonica player Drew Holiday, drummer/percussionist Eric Alan, banjo pickin Jason Weiss and backup vocalist Marcy Houston have had the good fortune through hard work to open for the likes of David Allan Coe who was floored by their energy and songwriting abilities and Merle Jagger as well as many local acts such as the popular tribute band Cash'd Out, Married by Elvis, Three Bad Jacks and many more. They have performed at many venues such as Brick by Brick, Adams Street Fair, Del Mar Fair, The knitting Factory in Hollywood, The Ramona Mainstage (sold out show w/ David Allan Coe), Winstons, Dream Street Live, Gallaghers and many more. The Sickstring Outlaws have taken the hard way by playing their own originals instead of playing covers which seems to be the easy way out. By staying true to what they believe in and working hard to keep outlaw country alive along with artist such as Hank 3, they are starting to gain a large and strong fanbase everywhere they play. They have just released their debut cd Draw Yer Guns and are starting work on their 2nd cd Playin With The Devil.
