Sibel Kose was born in Ankara, in 1969. After graduating from T.E.D. Ankara College, she studied architecture in M.E.T.U. Sibel Köse started singing jazz standards professionally in 1987 during her studying. Attended several workshops and seminars in Bilkent University and in Poland. She had the chance to work with Krzesimir Debski, Janusz Szprot, Deborah Brown, Rachel Gould, Joe Lee Wilson and Eli Wright. Took private lessons from Ayse Sezerman and continues her training under the supervising of Randy Esen.



Köse was the first prize winner in International Competition of Jazz Vocalist in Zamosc (Poland) in 1992. Worked with Tuna Ötenel who is one of the greatest jazz monsters in Turkey and had her major experience through this collaboration. She took part in concerts, festivals, radio and TV programs accompanied by veteran Turkish and foreign jazz musicians such as Jarek Smieatana, Slide Hampton, Ricky Ford and Jean-Loup Longnon. Some of the projects she participated in are: "Polish All Stars Band"; "Polish-Turkish Jazz Connection"; Janusz Szprot - "Kurt Weill Songs"; Önder Focan "Vocalists Project"; Ali Perret "Mingus Project"; "Swing Connection"; "Cube". In 2003 she joined the Longnon-Gallis "Jazz Olympers" project and toured in France. She was featured as soloist to some big bands such as Ankara Pop Group (the big band formed within the framework of State Opera and Ballet), Army Force Big Band and Beck's Big Band.



Istanbul Jazz Festival, Festival of Jazz Standards (Siedlce - Poland), Fete des Jazz (Paris - France), Miedznaradowy Festiwal Pianistow Jazzowych (Kalisz - Poland), Jazz au Xiricourt (Xiricourt - France), Jazz in Marciac (Marciac - France) could be mentioned amongst the festivals that she took place.



Önder Focan "Focan Tunes Sung By Vocalists" (Blue Note), Oguz Büyükberber "Velvele" (Ada Music), Janusz Szprot "Polonezköy" (Ada Music), Sibel Köse & Ahmet Gülbay Trio "Bossa Lova a St-Germains-des Pres" (Estela Studio Labroue), JP Gallis “The Song Seeker” (Nocturne) are the albums where you can hear Sibel singing.
