Formed when none of the members had even picked up an instrument, Shuriken have undergone several lineup changes, but the current one has withstood the test of time. Gigging locally at first and quickly moving further afield once the word had spread, Shuriken became infamous for an incendiary live performance packed with energy. This lead to three demos, indie label compilations, a live BBC radio session, in store appearances, nationwide rock radio airplay and rock club DJ set play, a couple of UK tours and an exhaustive gig schedule that puts many 'signed' bands to shame, all with the backing of numerous promotion companies / booking agents. Last year's self released EP Surrender is Not an Option really put Shuriken on the UK rock map garnering a plethora of favourable reviews from the music press' biggest names and making even the most cynical sit up and take notice.

With the release of the Evacuate / Distintegrate EP on You And Whose Army? Records, Video play for The 18th Emergency on Scuzz TV and the success of their infmaous 'Hit And Run' gigs performed on the back of a truck Shuriken are set to take the sonic justice to an even wider audience. One band CAN make a difference.
