I love performing.
I have been singing and acting since I was 2.
My family is extremely supportive and the loves of my life.
I AM FROM TEXAS!
I live in Nashville now.
The best part about singing is being able to affect people with a song.
I try to write my own songs even though I'm not a musician.
I was bitten by a bat and received rabies shots.
I am the messiest person ever.
Yes, I'm in a movie called "Bottle Rocket".
I am a dog person, NOT a cat person. but love my cats
I can be happy in an NYC lounge or a Nowhere, USA honky-tonk.
I'm fickle.
Although I know he's out there, I'm not ready to meet my soulmate.
I'm a really hard worker.
I can never stay in one place for too long.
Every girl should understand football.
Real men hunt or are hunted.
Dreams and destiny are essential in life.
I have a weakness for Shiner draft.
Shaggy hair and a guitar get me every time.
HUGS NOT DRUGS.
Marvin Gaye turns me on.
I'm terrified of failure.
But basically.hope you dig the music.

Bio

Weatherford, Texas native, Shea Raye, has worked hard to achieve her goals during her 24 years. Her determination and outgoing personality have helped this Texas blues rockin’ country singer/songwriter boast an extraordinary rsum.
Shea has been captivated by music and performing from a very young age. Destined to perform, she took the stage for the first time at the age of 4, when she sang Patsy Cline’s “Walkin’ After Midnight” at a large acting convention. Growing up, Shea developed her stage presence and performance style by singing at Texas oprys and her grandfather’s rodeo in Fort Worth, as well as other rodeo events such as the PBR and NCHA. Shea has entertained and sang the National Anthem for the New York Knicks at Madison Square Gardens, for the Dallas Cowboys, the Austin Wranglers, the Dallas Stars, and the Texas Rangers.
At a young age, Shea performed (and basically grew up) at the legendary Billy Bob’s Honky-tonk Bar in Fort Worth, Texas where hundreds of well-known acts have played over the years. Musical influences that have helped shape Shea’s unique voice and writing skills range from the likes of Patsy Cline to Bob Dylan.
In 2004, at the age of 18, Shea moved to Nashville to further her music career. After living on her own in Nashville for a year, writing and developing herself as an artist, Shea decided to move back home to attend Texas State University. However, her love of the music capital of the world wouldn’t keep her away for long.
In May 2007, Shea moved back to Nashville to intertwine her love of music with her desire to obtain a degree. She chose to plant some roots at the prominent Belmont University, which was once home to alumni Trisha Yearwood, Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, and many other influential artists. While majoring in Entertainment Industry Studies with a minor in Music Business, Shea performed in, and won, Belmont’s Country Music Showcase. In 2008 she went on to perform in the eminent Best of the Best Showcase. Shea graduated in 2009 and has moved on to work in the music business officially.
Shea Raye is one of those rare performers whose music is as straight-ahead and unpretentious as she is. Her songs speak of real life situations that hold a Texas punch. The raw truth and humor behind her songwriting creates both accessibility and depth that leaves people compelled for more. Every word Shea sings rings true because she understands vignettes detailing both the good and bad of life and love. “Songs,” she says, “provide a place where you can hear someone talking about their problems and you think, ‘I’m not alone.’ Hopefully other people are getting something out of it too.”
