Shawn Mars

Getting his start on the NYC/NJ club scene as a guitarist and songwriter, he didn't find his place until he took center stage as lead vocalist in his own creation, Discovery/Warner Brothers Records recording artists, MARS NEEDS WOMEN.
While on tour supporting acts like CHEAP TRICK, he got an offer to work with SKID ROW in a side project managed by DOC MCGHEE to be named OZONE MONDAY. That band went on to record and perform for almost two years playing arenas and recording with Michael Wagener (OZZY) and Nick Didia (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS).
So far in his career, he has appeared on MTV, toured with KISS, CHEAP TRICK, MOTLEY CRUE, SCORPIONS, GOO GOO DOLLS, EVERCLEAR, SOUL ASYLUM and has been featured in ROLLING STONE, VOGUE, RIP and METAL EDGE magazines.
In addition, he's had songs such as "Jennie Lies" produced by BUTCH WALKER played on radio stations across the country, won Best Vocalist two years in a row at the ASBURY PARK MUSIC AWARDS and had songs placed in films such as "2001 MANIACS" and TV shows such as MTV's "ROAD RULES".
He has also been busy performing with Kenny Aaronson (BILLY IDOL, JOAN JETT, DERRINGER, NY DOLLS), Sylvain Sylvain (NY DOLLS), Cherie Currie (RUNAWAYS), Ian Mitchell (BAY CITY ROLLERS), Cheetah Chrome (DEAD BOYS) and has been a member of various cover and tribute acts playing all over the US.
When he's not performing, he has also been writing for, producing and recording local acts.
