Shadow

'One of the reasons they call me Shadow is because I am a prime example of the concept, 'looks can be deceiving'. The other reason is my adaptability to situations, i can be anything you want me to be, i will play the game, but I will still have my essence and you will still feel Shadow in the 'face' of the being you want me to play'.



Shadow started spittin as an MC when she was 15. After having to audition for a hip-hop musical, she performed a 16 bar and was given one of the main parts in the show that was the first major performance on the opening of Stratford Circus. After the show was a great success, Shadow then went on to acting along with her rapping on various shows, some of which were performed at the Royal National Theatre, Tricycle Theatre and the Contact Theatre in Manchester. Shadow then went onto creating and performing a radio drama on Break Fm called 'Feelin' da Fuse' alongside other young actors. The radio drama has recieved interest from major radio stations.



One of Shadow's many strengths is her versatility, forever trying to improve her skills as an artist and the strength to adapt to different situations has made her spittin' get noticed and feels being a true lyricist is a lot more then just, money, sex and bitches (even though she'll have no problem in rhyming on those subjects if she wanted to).



As a natural performer she can adapt herself to any role and any life situation. Shadow has been through a lot in her life and it reflects greatly in her music. The stress of having to 'spit real' is one of the most important things Shadow portrays as an artist.



Shadow has performed live for various radio shows, and tracks that have been showcased on Extreme, Itch, DeJa, and BBC1 Extra. She has also performed at the 2005 Asian Music Awards and received much praise and interviews that have been broadcast on Channel 4 and various Asian channels. Shadow performed a soon to be released Grime single by Sukh Knight, a producer from EE-UK but stresses that she has matured into a lyricist that can rhyme to anything, which no doubt there is clear evidence of.



As a performer with many facets, she constantly strives to improve herself as an artist and always seeks inspiration from anything that life throws at her. Even though she is a very serious and driven person especially when it comes to business and her music she has a lot of character and is very passionate about life.
