SET FREE is a band built on friendship and driven by determination to create a name for themselves in today's music scene. "We strive to write music that doesn't fall into one certain category, and doesn't sound like the large amount of filth out there." Aspects of many different types of music can be found in our songs, including an enormous amount of thrash riffs and psychedelic melodies. A writing style that consists of dramatic progessions, rather than repetive bullshit. From start to finish of any song, listeners are taken on an epic journey through the way METAL SHOULD SOUND!!



Since 2004, Set Free has grown over the years into a full-sounding, well equipped metal band. The soul of Set Free has never been stronger! With nothing to lose and everything to possibly gain, any effort will be made to reach the highest heights possible.



Set Free consists of four members: Doug Ornas(percussion), Guy Allen(guitar), Dave Garot(guitar and vocals), and Andrew Murphy(bass and vocals). Making a name for themselves already around the Cleveland area, Set Free draws it's fans to experience being set free!



Set Free released their first full length album late Spring of 2008 titled "Alive and Conscious." This seven track, forty minute plus masterpiece is just a taste, a mere glimpse of the future Set Free has in store for listeners. Set Free Among The Dead Themselves is from the future after all and plans on letting everyone know what metal will sound like for years to come!!!
