Sequoia

Sequoia is a rock band from Chicago. After two full-lengths epitomizing the midwest power trio sound, delivering songs winding between Police-esque precision, Hum's spacey sonic assault and Dinosaur Jr's voluminous jangle, their biggest fan -- Cully Johnston (Powers, ex-Grinner), became their fourth member and they set out exploring uncharted territories. Lush walls of sound and slashing twin guitars soar over alternatingly fierce and jaunty rhythmic pounding, all anchored by Wade Work's deceptively catchy vocals. Sequoia version 2.0 shines like the sun, sears like the wind and explodes like dark matter in the FermiLab.
