Senza Nome ("Nameless" in English) was formed in 2003 with the aim to mix progressive rock with the Italian song tradition. They immediately began to play live: this choice allowed them to get used to being on stage, and to be rapidly known in their region. In their first two years of activity they played almost everywhere: at political and town parties, schools and pubs. In this period their own compositions continuously grew. In 2005 the band decided to work with an actor to add some performed parts to some songs. In this year was recorded their first demo-cd Pensando a non pensare ("thinking about not thinking"), recorded live during a concert. Good reviews were written, and some roman radios broadcasted it. In 2006 they joined NoSlappers, a roman movement formed by many bands who still today help each other to create a common space where to play original music, since in Italy many live locals prefer cover and tribute bands. In the same year they collaborated with a director for a theatrical performance: they played and interacted with the actor too during the whole spectacle. It was their first experience in the field of theatre. Contemporaneously, Emanuele De Marzi (vocals, guitar) and Stefano Onorati (keyboards) took part in "MusicOrienta" a musical project promoted by the Province of Rome and supervised by Vittorio Nocenzi, leader of the legendary band Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. They were both selected for the Roma Electric Orchestra. So far they have played in twenty concerts around Rome. On May 12, 2008, their first album, entitled with the band's name, was released. It is composed by nine audio tracks plus one video and a booklet of 24 pages. To celebrate that, on the same day the band played at Stazione Birra, famous roman live pub with Rodolfo Maltese (Banco del Mutuo Soccorso guitar player) as special guest.
