Selecta Bus'high

Avant de former Straight Up Sound, Dj Weedim et Selecta Bus'High s'affirmèrent séparément sur les scènes Hip-Hop et Reggae. C'est leur complémentarité et leur gout du métissage qui les firent s'associer en 2000. Depuis, ils ne cessent de combiner sonorités US et jamaicaines, créant quantité de remix et morceaux exclusifs.



Afin de matérialiser ce style naissant et de coller au plus près à l'actualité musicale de ces deux courants, ils créent en 2005 le Reggae Crunk Movement, point de départ de nombreux projets et collaborations, de Big Red , Lords Of The Underground en passant par Coolie Buddz et Rasheeda.



Leurs atouts majeurs ? Une sélection pointue, définitivement différente de ce que l'on a l'habitude d'écouter et des mixs (en live ou en mixtape) d'une qualité technique et créative reconnue.

Ils sont co-auteurs de 9 mixtapes Reggae-Crunk exclusives, de 3 street albums, et d'un grand nombre de mixs téléchargeables sur Internet. En parallèle, Weedim, représentant français du label Oomp Camp (label de Dj Unk et son Walk it out ' entre autres) crée les Good Dope Mixtapes, aujourd'hui au nombre de 6, réalisées en partenariat avec des rappeurs principalement du sud des USA et Bus'High crée les Stone Effect, avec des artistes jamaicains.

Depuis 2007, Weedim collabore avec Joey Starr en temps que Dj (auteur d'un medley sur le Best of NTM) et en temps que Beatmaker (sur BOSS 4).



Ils participent ‡ des évènements aussi varies que des soirées purement clubbing (VIP Room avec Lil Jon, Bus Palladium avec The Beatnuts, Nouveau Casino, Triptyque, Divan du Monde, Gibus, Madam, Bains Douches, La Galerie, Batofar, Espace Nikaia), qu'a des concerts de têtes d'affiches jamaicaines (Buju Banton, Anthony B, Junior Kelly, 5th Element, Israêl Vibration, Black Uhuru, Jah Mason, Gladiators, Alpha Blondy, Max Romeo, Big Youth).



Vous pouvez retrouver Dj Weedim tous les premiers samedis du mois au Gibus Club aux soirée Get Crunk, ainsi qu'au Twenty One sound bar: Dj Weedim tous les vendredis aux soirées Make it Rain, Bus'High tous les samedis aux soirées Dem Freaky Saturdays.

Before forming Straight Up Sound, Dj Weedim and Selecta Bus'High asserted themselves separately on the Hip-Hop and Reggae business. This is their complementarity and their feeling for the musical intermarriage that make them merge in 2000.

Since, they do not stop combining tones US and jamaican, creating quantity of remixz and exclusives tunes.



In order to materialize this style being born and to stick to the most near to the musical current event of these two currents, they create in 2005 the Reggae Crunk Movement, point of start of many projects and collaborations (Coolie Buddz, Rasheeda, Shawty Lo etc)



Their major trumps? A pointed selection, definitively different of that one is used to listen, and mixs (in live or in mixtape) of a technical quality and creative recognized.



They are co-authors of 9 mixtapes Reggae-Crunk exclusives, of 3 street album, and of a big number of mixs downloadable on Internet. In parallel, Weedim (who's the french representative of Oomp Camp) creates the Good Dope Mixtapes, today to the number of 6, realized in partnership with rappers principally from the dirty south and Bus'high the Stone Effect with Jamaican artists.

Since 2007, Weedim works with Joey Starr (the most popular rapper in France) as Beatmaker and Dj.



They participate to different styles of events like pure clubbin Partyz (@ VIP Room with Lil Jon, Bus Palladium with The Beatnuts,Madam, Bains Douches, Nouveau Casino, Triptyque, Divan du Monde, Gibus, La Galerie, Batofar, Espace Nikaia), and to some concerts wid Buju Banton, Anthony B,Junior Kelly, 5TH Element crew, IsraÕl Vibration, Black Uhuru, Jah Mason, Gladiators, Alpha Blondy, Max Romeo, Big Youth.



In Paris, France, you can discover Dj Weedim the first Saturday of each month at Gibus Club for the famous Get Crunk partys (1200 people) and to the Twenty One sound bar:

Dj Weedim, all the Fridays, to the Make it Rain partys, Bus'High all the Saturdays for Dem Freaky Saturdays partys.
