Seeking Sui is a Swag Rock band hailing from Los Angeles California. Building their national fan base, Seeking Sui was featured on Van's Warped Tour 2008 on the Ernie Ball Stage and reached the World Songwriting Semifinals for Disc Makers Independent Music World Series. Seeking Sui shared the stage with national acts including, King's X, Blind Melon, Alien Ant Farm, Days of the New, The Ataris, Rx Bandits, Rusted Root, Mayday Parade, Stereoside, Men Women and Children, Petey Pablo and Jimmy's Chicken Shack.
2008: The band recorded a seven song EP, Revolution Goes Around with Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Virgos Merlot/Creed) and played Florida Music Festival 2008. The bands single, "Jokes on You" is requested and played on various radio stations such as Banana rock 101.5 in Michigan to Real Hit Radio in the UK.
2009: Seeking Sui went back into the studio, recording a six song EP entitled Project Gen X, at Earthsound Studios recorded with Lee Dyess (From First To Last/Mayday Parade). After recording, the band signed with the California-based label, GoDIY Records. The band's single "Believe it or Not," ringtone sold over 2,000 downloads within its first few months.
2010: The trio coined a genre, Swag Rock to assist in better defining their sound has a whole, a brand of rock with diversity and swagger. It strives to provide an even balance of musicianship, consonance, and style. Seeking Sui headed back into the studio in August 2010 to complete their next EP, scheduled for release in Fall 2010, with brand-new material including their newest single, "Beautiful Lie."

The Story
As a living organism matures, changes, and grows into its ultimate being, Seeking Sui continues upon its ever changing journey. Formed with the idea of attaining Sui Generis, meaning a class of its own kind, the project continues to expand upon the ideals that its foundation was built upon, to broaden the spectrum of modern music, create a sound that takes past influences, and turns it into a new auditory aesthetic. Only a desire, an ambition, a phrase to live by: We are Seeking Sui Generis.
To facilitate this auditory aesthetic, enter: Swag Rock. Swagger, or swag for short, is a unique appearance, style, and/or the way someone presents his or her self. With Swag Rock, an even balance of musicianship, consonance, and style is strived to be achieved. In other words, Seeking Sui's mission is to be the musician's band and the average listener's band.
"As musicians, we strive to create music that is relatable as well as diverse. That means touching a variety of themes lyrically, exploring styles musically, and presenting it," believes Sui. "Our live show is a fusion of our creativity, our music, most importantly, our passion."
