Stephen Warwick releases his debut album Talking Machine. Hailing from North Carolina, Warwick spent 5 years writing and recording songs for Talking Machine in the basement studio of producer and friend Steve Pugh. The duo worked on capturing the mood of each song, often times rearranging and rerecording them until they fit Warwick's vision. Another big part of this album was the sequence of songs. "In an age of digital downloads the idea of an album as a whole gets lost. But I still believe that a huge part of an album is the sequencing of songs and how they relate to one another and the listener. Like a family tree, each tree is an album and each branch a song" Warwick said. With swells of trumpets, jangly guitars, and a conjuring of sepia-toned imagery, Warwick has created a folk-tinged indie rock masterpiece worthy of any music lover's ears.
