Sebastian Abraham Bach was born June 23, 1984 in the San Fernando Valley. He spent his formative years in Branson, Missouri & Sierra Madre, California. He began recording original songs in 1998 and has been performing regular concerts in the Greater Los Angeles Area (and occasionally elsewhere in the U.S.) since 2001. Long Distance Relationship, his debut solo album, was self-released in 2007. In addition to his solo work, he is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter of the bands Oh Yeah, The Future, The Middle Initials, and The Bachs. He also plays guitar & sings in the band Star Maps (featuring former members of Hail Citizen, in which he was the bassist) and has been a longtime sideman/co-producer for Nikki Lynn Katt & Theo Hirsch. He currently resides in Pasadena, California."S.A. Bach – Off Days & Days Off: I really, really like this collection of songs…it was especially impressive because I have a VERY hard time getting into male singer-songwriters (sorry, I just don’t find the male voice all that interesting on its own). What really got me here were the lyrics, although I suppose there isn’t much else to comment on (guitar playing: good, singing: good). It doesn’t get much more relatable than unrequited love or questioning the existence of God…what I didn’t expect was a great sense of humor and plenty of sarcasm. I really like how his stuff drifts between poetry and music, so you find yourself appreciating different elements at different times." - Dan Waldkirch, Record Time V"S.A. Bach is a rare talent indeed. I met him as part of the band Hail Citizen a while back and his solo album Long Distance Relationship just blew me away. If we can agree that an unusually large amount of Death Cab for Cutie songs are about failed long-term relationships, then one might note that S.A. Bach's work captures the sublime discomfort of relationships failing before getting an opportunity to blossom. His voice rings loud with genuine disappointment and charm, while seriously talented musicians set the Americana-meets-indie tone."
